If your body is uncomfortable and the simple act of movement is causing pain, this can increase your Cortisol level. Cortisol is our bodies main stress hormone, and if this hormone level is increased then your stress levels will also increase.
A daily dose of stretching could really help to eliminate or at least reduce this whole process.
In fact, stretching can not only decrease hormone levels but can also stimulate and increase at least 3 out of the 4 ‘feel good hormones’.

This can all be done by movement, a movement that is creating a positive energy by making you feel better, calming your head space, focusing on your breath, and simply taking time out for yourself.
By doing this daily you are actively encouraging your body to produce those happy hormones that take your mind and body to a better place.
